CDPP on-line graphic tool

The CDPP (Centre de Donnees de la Physique des Plasmas, http://cdpp.cesr.fr now provides an on-line graphical tool which allows users to :

• select one or more data sets archived at CDPP (independently of mission, experiment, data format, etc.)
• select one or more physical parameters from each set
• optionally select a common time interval
• and then plot the data (according to options the user can specify).

This new CDPP service is presently under Beta-test and it cannot be applied to all the CDPP data sets. The following data now can be plotted : WIND mission (3DP moments, ...), EISCAT observations, and Cluster mission (Summary Parameters, and the Prime Parameters for users who have the necessary Cluster access rights).

We will be grateful for your feedback : comments, missing options, difficulties encountered, etc... We would also like to know which other CDPP data sets you would like to be able to plot, in order to define our priorities for the near future.

To use this facility, you must first extract the data you wish to visualize from the archive. You must order it in the normal way being careful to set, at least in the box marked "Options" :
CDF format (enables plotting on CDPP server) : Yes

To change any option(s), click on "Modify options & transformations" (on the right of the order definition page) to open a dedicated pop-up window and then select this option.

Once you have received an e-mail saying that processing has terminated, you may either retrieve these CDF files (from your CDPP user workspace) in the normal way, or click on the new link "PLOT YOUR CDF FILES" and select the parameter(s) and the time interval to be plotted.
