Secondly, in this issue WSW (World Space Week) is mentioned. If you can, please get involved! Visit their website and check out the huge number countries that have registered with WSW to conduct WSW activities.
For the first time, Japan will also do WSW, here in Kitakyushu. The organizer is Mr Tejumola Taiwo Raphael, a Nigerian grad student at Kyushu Institute of Technology, Tobata Campus. He is getting a lot people excited about it. No doubt we will get a report from him later.

 United Nations/Nepal Workshop on the Applications of Global Navigation Satellite Systems, Kathmandu, Nepal, 12–16 December 2016
The United Nations/Nepal Workshop on the applications of global navigation satellite systems will be held from 12 to 16 December 2016 in Kathmandu. The Workshop, organized by the Office for Outer Space Affairs in collaboration with the Government of Nepal, will be hosted by the Survey Department of the Ministry of Land Reform and Management of Nepal, and supported by the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (ICG).

 World Space Week
Since its United Nations declaration in 1999, World Space Week has grown into the largest public space event on Earth. More than 1,800 events in 73 countries celebrated the benefits of space and excitement about space exploration in 2015. With our new Theme “Remote Sensing - Enabling Our Future” we aim to inspire even more events around the world in October 2016.
