ISWI Newsletter - Vol.2 No.78
27 September 2010

Dear ISWI Participant:

I forward a message from Dr Hans Haubold (text below); it is a wee bit tardy because of my recent work in Africa.
Dear Colleagues,

Yesterday the International Astronomical Union (IAU) made available (electronically) the attached Press Release and Final Report on the International Year of Astronomy 2009.

This concludes the role of UNOOSA as an organizational node for IYA 2009. A very brief report of UNOOSA is contained in the 1350 pages long electronic report on IYA 2009.

Thank you, Hans Haubold Wed, 8 Sep 2010 02:08:59 +0200
PS: Please look at : International Year of Astronomy (IYA 2009) Final Report

If you are experiencing trouble accessing the website for the forthcoming ISWI workshop in Helwan, Cairo, Egypt, please try to access it directly: http://www.spaceweather-eg.org/iswi/.

If you look it up via a Google search, you may get a caution or warning message from Google. But I have been assured by the workshop LOC that there is no problem with the website. The registration dead line is October 1, 2010.

Respectfully yours,
George Maeda
